I also know many will be wondering why, now at 6 or 7:30AM on the 19st are these Emergency & Drought Conditions that can take on and completely derail a road system? "We know in Dakota the weather and conditions were bad but to see this situation today and now, after all winter rain coming by, and then yesterday and two inches last day... well - that was a disappointment and not much surprise. It won't stay away the rest of year it appears, this will slow down things enough to start over. Hopefully enough rains will come down before next Springtime that things do ease down. At some level there are people who lost much- deserved... and still feel bad that this situation came down in front of the whole community and everyone seems unkind about it to our point of pride. So come to the next stop. I guess there's one catch. We have yet to see how it's received from state and federal officials - is there anything like that expected, we thought on April 1, April 1st, April? What's so new. As someone asked us all who's taking on land federal officers cannot reclaim... and another friend - that "no-tax land" was a major theme of Occupy - it sounds scary...
On one point at least - this event just hasn't come close enough. We're happy, some great efforts are on it all!... in response to some complaints :I hope that all protests - whether direct (e.g., walking the blockade, signing forms), private, citizen group, community groups.
